Place an order request

Your basket becomes one order request for each supplier, under one checkout reference. Choose where it goes, the Incoterm, your references and how you’ll pay.

Where: Partner portal → Basket → Checkout

Steps

  1. Open Basket. Fix any lines marked (below a minimum order, or no longer available), then select Checkout.
  2. Choose the delivery address.
  3. For each supplier’s order, choose an Incoterm the supplier offers for all its products.
  4. Enter your purchase order number and choose a cost centre if your company requires them, and add any notes for ISP.
  5. Choose how you’ll pay: on your trade account, a 30% deposit now with the balance before shipment, or in full in advance.
  6. Select Place order request. Download each order’s purchase order from Orders.

Good to know

  • If the checkout is over your company’s approval threshold, it waits for one of your Approvers. Nothing goes to ISP until it is approved, and it lapses if it isn’t approved within 48 hours.
  • For a deposit or advance payment, ISP asks for the payment once the order is placed (or approved), and passes the order to the supplier once it is paid. The request is under Billing.
  • Stock is kept for your order when you place it.

Questions

Some prices changed when I placed the order

Prices are checked again when you place the order. You are shown what changed and nothing is placed: select Place at the new prices to go ahead.

The trade account option isn’t available

Your trade account may be on hold, or the order may be over your available credit. Pay a deposit or in advance, or ask ISP for more credit.
